Angel Without Wings,
The Life Of Mary Alice Mason Weil

Southwest Publishing announces it’s latest release, the biography of a Dominican Nun, blessed with the Stigmata, who was removed from her position and later married. No similar book offers the in-depth descriptions of a person blessed with these experiences.  The first memoir of its kind to be published, tackles a socially taboo subject never revealed. As the church struggles to boost it’s standing in the Christian world, this book could change the direction of an ailing establishment.

Summary: Throughout history, the Saints and laity have been blessed with Stigmata, but the story of how it dictated their lives is unknown until now.

The story of Mary Alice Mason Weil unfolds the mystery. Father Gillespie describes in vivid details the effects Stigmata had on Mary Alice’s body and spirit.  Priests, nuns and close friends describe the difficulties she encountered while living in a cloistered environment, then throughout her public life.

Her diary tells of her suffering and describes her visions back to the time of Jesus’ birth and Crucifixion, revealing the conversations she had with Baby Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Mary Alice, an intensely private person, only allowed her story to be told after her death.

Phoenix, Arizona – December 25, 2010 – M. Katherine Weil, prize-winning author, reveals this story of her family’s hidden secret.  Although the Weil family brothers and sisters knew of the extraordinary gift Mary Alice was given, the world was kept unaware until her death.  The Stigmata, known only briefly in association with Padre Pio and St. Frances of Assisi is now exposed with Mary Alice’s enlightening life story.

Born in 1909, her childhood was a struggle of survival. Her desire was to be a nun, but her wish was rejected time and time again.  Seven convents denied her entrance after observing first hand, her visions, bi-location and Stigmata, not wanting their privacy exposed. On occasion, she was condemned as a fake.

With grace and humility, she endured and accepted the path God gave her.  In 1952, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared again, to give Mary Alice her blessing to marry Robert L. Weil.  Robert was her caregiver for 31 years until her death in 1983.

It is a simple story of unconditional love and willingness to offer the pain of Stigmata for our salvation.  God chose her to suffer as a victim to obtain grace for dying sinners.
